Bhubaneswar: A PhD student of KIIT allegedly died by suicide as her body was found hanging inside a rented house at Nandan Vihar in Odisha capital on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Nikita Tiwari. She hailed from Uttar Pradesh.
Though the exact reason behind her death was yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that she took the extreme step of ending her life by hanging herself.
Police have recovered the body for post-mortem and informed her family members and husband about the death.
While the woman’s husband resides in South Korea, it is being reported that she was undergoing mental stress.
Further probe by police was underway.
