Odisha Reports 3329 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, 18 Succumb To The Deadly Virus

Bhubaneswar: The declining trend in the number of Covid-19 infections in Odisha continues with the state adding 3329 new cases in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of total infections has gone up to 1249240.

The number of active cases has reached 47210. In the last 24 hours 9191 patients recovered. Khordha remained the top district in fresh cases with 646 cases and Sundargarh reported 237 cases in the last 24 hours.

Among the 3,329 positives, 1,934 patients are in quarantine, and 1,395 are the local contacts. Currently, the active cases stand at 47,210.

The state reported 18 more COVID-19 deaths, taking the toll to 8,612 on Monday. Earlier, on Sunday 19 Covid deaths were confirmed on a single day after an audit since the third wave hit the state earlier this month.

According to the State Health and Welfare Department, there is a six-year-old minor girl of Dhenkanal, four of the deceased are from Bhubaneswar, one from Bhadrak, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Nayagarh and Puri, three from Ganjam and Jajpur, two from Jagatsinghpur districts.

5.A 90 years old Female of Bhadrak District who was also suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease & Dilated Cardiomyopathy.

6.A 65 years old Male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

7.A 6 years old Female of Dhenkanal District.

8.A 56 years old Male of Ganjam District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
