Bhubaneswar: Vigilance department on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids at five locations in Nuapada and Bolangir districts in connection with a disproportionate assets case involving Narayan Sahoo, Block Development Officer (BDO) of Khariar in Nuapada district.
The raids were carried out by three DSPs, 10 Inspectors, four ASIs, and other staff of Vigilance, based on a warrant issued by a CBI Special Judge in Bolangir.
The locations targeted included Sahoo’s residential house and government quarter in Khariar, Nuapada district, his office chamber at the Panchayat Samiti office in Khariar, his parental house in Kusmel village, Bolangir, and the house of one of Sahoo’s relatives in Bidighat, Bolangir.
