Infant killed, Four Critical In LPG Cylinder Blast In Odisha’s Balasore

In an LPG cylinder blast incident, a 40 days old infant was killed while four others sustained critical injuries following an LPG cylinder blast at Mirzapur near Chandipur in Odisha’s Balasore district on Tuesday evening.

According to reports, the mishap occurred when the LPG cylinder caught fire when Sheikh Bhallu’s wife was cooking food.

In the mishap, Bhallu’s infant boy died on the spot while Bhallu, his wife, their second daughter and another person sustained critical injuries. On hearing the sound of the explosion, neighbours rushed to Bhallu’s house and rescued the family.

All three injured have been admitted to the Balasore district headquarters hospital (DHH) where their condition is said to be critical.
