Heat Wave In Odisha, Bhubaneswar records 31 degree Celsius at 8.30 am today

Days of heat wave are back in Odisha as the capital city Bhubaneswar recorded 31°C as early as 8:30 am on Monday, according to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.

Normal life was hit owing to sudden spike in the maximum (day) temperature today.

According to the IMD, the increase in day temperature is due to the influence of dry-hot air from the northwest with reduced seasonal influence over the state. During the next 2 to 3 days, there is a possibility of an increase of 2°C to 3°C in the day temperature in some places in the state.

Earlier, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday had predicted that there will be no change in the maximum temperature during the next two to three days in Odisha. However, the IMD had predicted a rise in the maximum temperature by two to three degrees thereafter over the districts of Odisha.
