In a gruesome incident, a woman employee of a finance company was allegedly stabbed to death on the premises of her office at Pradhanpat Road in Deogarh district on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Rita Sahoo, who hailed from Kuchinda area in Sambalpur district.
According to information, ,Sahoo was reportedly attacked by two miscreants while she was about to leave for home from her office at around 11 pm yesterday. The miscreants stabbed her with a sharp weapon and fled from the spot. Hearing her screams, other employees of the office rushed to the spot, rescued a profusely bleeding Rita and rushed her to the Deogarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). However, doctors declared her ‘brought dead’.
On being informed the police along with a scientific team reach the spot and launched a probe. Further investigation is underway in this regard.
