Fake Certificate Racket: 3 Branch Post Masters Terminated in Odisha’s Kendrapara
Kendrapara: Taking stern action in connection with fake certificate case, three branch post masters have been dismissed from service for allegedly securing the jobs by furnising fake educational certificates in Odisha’s Kendrapada district on Monday.
The three terminated post masters are Prassana Kumar Sethi, Soumya Ranjan Sethi and Mamashree Bharati, all from Bhadrak district.
It was alleged that the trio had secured the job of branch post master by submitting fake certificates issued by the boards of outside states. One of them had been working with the department for the last two years, while the other two had joined six months ago.
All of them had absconded when the fake certificate racket came to the fore.
Recently, some applicants for the post of Gramin Dak Devak (GDS) also used fake certificates. One Anita Jena from Bhadrak district submitted a fake matriculation certificate to get the GDS job in Kendrapara district. Her certificate showed she had passed the 10th exam of the UP board. Her certificate showed she had scored 99 marks out of 100 in Odia in the Matriculation examination.
