Bhubaneswar, Nov 4: Odisha Vigilance officials on Saturday arrested Assistant Executive Engineer Arjun Kumar Sahoo for possessing disproportionate assets.
Vigilance sources here said Sahoo working in the RW Sub-Division of Salipur in Cuttack district will be produced before Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar today.
Sahoo, was found in possession of disproportionate assets during search operation which included two buildings including one-multi storied building worth approximately Rs.1 crore in Bhubaneswar, 21 plots, deposits over 70.09 lakh, gold jewellery weighing approximately 218 gms, Rs. 2.83 lakh in cash and three four wheelers, which he could not account for satisfactorily.
The sources said following allegations of disproportionate assets possessed by Arjun Kumar Sahu, simultaneous house searches were being conducted by Vigilance officials.
