In a tragic freak accident, a truck driver has lost his life while one helper sustained critical injuries in a road mishap near Talanagar Chakk in Soro area of Balasore district.
According to reports, the incident took place while the driver was getting down from the vehicle when a speeding truck hit him. Subsequently, the driver died on the spot and the helper sustained grievous injuries.
The injured person was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem.
