Dhabaleswar Temple Reopens For Devotees
Bhubaneswar: The Dhabaleswar Temple in Athagarh, Cuttack district, has reopened for the public after being closed for repairs on the hanging bridge. A temporary bridge over the Mahanadi river has been built for visitors to access the temple, which will remain closed until the repair work is finished.
The reopening was earlier planned for Makar Sankranti, but was moved up as the construction of the temporary bridge was completed early. The hanging bridge, which connects the temple, is currently being repaired after the incident in Morbi, Gujarat, and is not yet ready for use.
A team from Kolkata was assigned to inspect the bridge following the incident. Despite this, visitors can use the temporary bridge to access the centuries-old Shiva shrine, which sees thousands of devotees and tourists every year, particularly during Makar Sankranti.
