In a tragic incident, Four persons were killed on the spot and three others sustained critical injuries in an explosion while making firecrackers in a house on the outskirts of Bhushundpur village under Tangi police station limits in Odisha’s Kurdha district at around 11.00 am on Monday.
The incident occurred while the victims were reportedly making firecrackers inside the house ahead of the Dola Utsav. The reason behind the blast is yet to be ascertained.
The critically injured have been admitted to the nearby hospital.
The firecracker unit was manufacturing firecrackers ahead of Dola Yatra, fire services personnel on spot.
On getting information, fire services personnel rushed to the site and launched an operation to douse the flame.
