In a heartrending incident, class X girl student allegedly committed suicide at her house , a day before the completion of annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examinations, apprehending poor performance in some papers in Barahata Paila Sahi under Jajpur Town police station limits in Jajpur district last night.
The deceased was identified as Rashmibala Padhee. She had to appear for the board examination at the Jajpur Municipal High School centre in the district today morning.
While today was the last day for this year’s Matric examination, the girl’s death has shocked her family members, classmates and teachers.
Police have reached the spot and started investigation.
