BJB College Bans Entry Of Outsiders Into Campus Following Stabbing Incident

Bhubaneswar: The authorities of Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (BJB) Autonomous College prohibited the entry of non students into the campus following the stabbing incident in which three students sustained injuries.

According to sources, the college authorities put up posters at all the entry points to the campus cautioning the outsiders from not entering the campus without any official purpose.

Moreover, the gate adjacent to the hostel has been locked up to ensure the safety and security of the inmates.

Meanwhile, the college administration decided to write to the relevant department regarding wire fences and formed an expert team for the installation of CCTV cameras on campus.

“After a meeting with the hostelers, we’ve shut the gate next to the hostel. This will prevent outsiders’ entry. We will also request that the playground be fenced in with barbed wire in a letter to the R&B division. Additionally, we have established a committee of experts to oversee the installation of CCTV cameras,” said Gulam Moinuddin Khan, the principal of BJB College.

“We have been told to permit admission to the campus for pupils wearing uniforms and carrying ID cards. Similarly, we have been instructed to record in a register the name, mobile number, and car number of outsiders who are visiting the college for official reasons, according to a security officer stationed on the college grounds.
