On the basis of reliable, The Special Task Force (STF) flanked by forest personnel arrested a wildlife criminal with the seizure of the skin of RBT near Saluki Bridge in Boudh district on Tuesday.
The raid was regarding dealing or possession of wildlife product by wildlife criminal, and one wildlife smuggler namely Himalay Dash of Olanda village of Boudh in apprehended.
The RBT skin seized yesterday is being sent to Wildlife Institute of India for biological examination. The arrested accused was later remanded to judicial custody under Indian Penal Code sections 379/411/120(B) and section 51 of Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, STF officials added.
During the search two skin, one Tiger skin, one Leopard skin and other incriminating materials were recovered from his possession.
