Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has chosen the Aska Police Station in the Ganjam district of Odisha as one of the top three police stations in the country for 2022.
Tarun Kumar, Joint Director and Conference Secretary of Intelligence Bureau at the MHA, informed Odisha DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal of this selection in a letter dated January 2.
The Union Home Minister will present the trophy to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Gangapur Police Station at the National Agriculture Science Complex, PUSA Campus, New Delhi, on January 20, 2023, during the DGsP/IGsP Conference 2022.
Kumar has asked that the DGP to instruct the SHO to attend the conference in uniform with cross belt and arrive at the venue by 1 PM on January 19 for a rehearsal.
Accommodation and transportation for the SHO in Delhi are being arranged, stated Kumar while adding that the SHO be asked to send a recent passport-sized photograph and travel itinerary.
