A constable working with Armed Police Reserve (APR) was found hanging at MV-42 village under Malkangiri Town Police limits in the district on Friday.
The deceased police personnel has been identified as Sushant Haldar. According to reports, the locals found the constable hanging from a banyan tree this morning. They immediately informed the police about the incident.
Upon being informed, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation in this regard. he body has been sent for post-mortem. However, the exact reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
