3 killed in tragic road mishap as Pick-up Van Rams Truck in Jajpur
In a tragic road mishap, at least three persons died and six others were seriously injured in a major road accident at Charinangal Square on NH 53 in Jajpur district on Saturday morning. This accident occurred when a pick-up van rammed a truck.
According to reports, the dry fish-laden pickup van was moving towards Paradip from Chandikhole in the morning. It rammed into a truck from behind near Charinangal under Balichandrapur police limits in Jajpur district following which one person sitting on the container of the pickup van died on the spot. Eight others sustained critical injuries in the mishap. who sustained critical injuries, were shifted to  Badchana Hospital.
Later, all of the injured were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital where two of them succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
Sources said that the condition of two more persons is said to be critical. According to an eyewitness, the driver of the pickup van might have rammed the vehicle into the truck due to fog or rash driving.
