24 Teachers Disengaged For 12 Years Of Unauthorised Absence
Bhubaneswar: The District Collector in Nabarangpur has disengaged 24 teachers due to unauthorized absence for approximately 12 years.
It is said that 31 teachers in the district had not been reporting for duty for the past 12 years. The School & Mass Education Department issued show cause notices to these teachers, and one of them claimed to have resigned from their position.
While six teachers provided various reasons for their absence, the remaining 24 teachers did not respond to the show-cause notices. As a result, the District Collector, based on the recommendation of the District Education Officer, disengaged them.
