2 Killed, 3 Critical After Pick-Up Van Hits Dola Palanquin In Odisha’s Kendrapara

Two people were killed after a pick van crashed with a Dola Biman while it was returning after Dola Melan near Duhuria Chhak of Cuttack-Chandabali road in Kendrapara district of Odisha. Three persons were also critically injured in the accident. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Kendrapara.

The deceased persons ave been identified as Dibyajyoti Das of Banahara village and Somanatha Sahu of Badagaon.

As per sources, the deceased people along with some others with the Dola Bimana were going to join Duhuria Melana when an pick up van carrying fish hit them from behind resulting in the death of Dibyajyoti and Somanatha on the spot. The three injured persons have been shifted to the Cuttack SCB hospital as their condition worsened.
