BJP MLA from Chhattisgarh Vidyaratan Bhasin passes away

Raipur, June 23: Senior Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) MLA from Chhattisgarh, Vidyaratan Bhasin passed away at the age of 76 years on Friday morning.

Bhasin, MLA from Vaishali Nagar seat of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, was ill for a long time and he was undergoing the treatment at a private hospital in the capital.

He died early today in the hospital during his treatment.

Bhasin was a two-time MLA and once elected as a mayor of Bhilai.

Last time in 2018, he was successful in winning the election even in the wave of the Congress.

Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel has expressed deep sympathy to his bereaved family by expressing condolences on the demise of Bhasin.

Assembly Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant, former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, former Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik have also expressed deep condolences on the demise of Bhasin.
