Kolhapur: 52 cows die, 30 become serious after eating stale food at Siddhagiri Kaneri Math

Kolhapur, Feb 24: In a shocking and unfortunate incident, 52 indigenous cows lost their lives and another 30 cows became serious by eating poisonous stale foods.


This incident occurred at Siddhagiri Kaneri Math, where seven-days long Sumangalam Panchamahabhutam Lokostav’, was underway under the guidance of Adrushya Shree Kadsiddheshwar Swami Maharaj.


This incident came to fore Friday his shocking incident suddenly today, commotion to break out at lokostav place this morning following the death of such huge number of cows from “goshala” where thousands of cows are living.


According to information, some persons gave stale foods to cows in “goshala” in place of fodder and cows dead due to eat this stale food. Veterniary doctor Y A Pathan said due to create uric acid in the stomach of cows, the cows died.


Serious cows were shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
Swami Kadsiddheshwar Maharaj started ‘goshala” with the intention of growth of indigenous cows at Kaneri Math.
