Whats cooking in Pawar house? betrayal, anger, animus and now, bonhomie among the Pawars

By D N Singh

Betrayal, anger, animus and now, bonhomie among the Pawars may possibly turn out to be most stunning twister in Maharashtra politics.

For political observers the turn and twists in Maharashtra has become a zig-saw puzzle given the statements of the Pawars those point at a surprising outcome anytime.
Reading what the senior Pawar has said very recently that the notion about split in the NCP has no basis.

It is still intact and both Sharad Pawar and, even Supriya Sule have come out with similar palliatives that Ajit Pawar is still in the NCP.
Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar has maintained his family rapport by visiting Sharad Pawar with few of his political colleagues of the so-called breakaway NCP faction to seek the blessings of the 89 year old patriarch of Maharashtra at his residence.
Even Sule was quoted to have said that, regardless of some NCP leaders joining or coming under other political parties such as Ajit joining the Shinde led government in Maharashtra, she said he still has his moorings in NCP and not deserted NCP.
Would it imply that the senior Pawar agrees with the policies of Modi and somehow endorse what Ajit did by joining the Maha government which rests on the shoulders of the BJP.
In August 12 the meeting between Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar and that too meeting in private had already raised some heckles in the Shinde camp and BJP must not have failed to guess what is cooking in the Pawar houses.
Obviously, the jitters those have sparked in the Shinde camp after Ajit’s quick ascendancy in the alliance government are understandable.
