Unstoppable ‘hate-speeches’ syndrome is like ticking time-bomb can blast anytime

The latest syndrome of ‘Hate Speeches’ have assumed an alarming proportion despite legal strictures. At home or abroad this menace goes on unabated regardless of strictures not to do so.

Some speak at occasions and some in the guise of nationalism push ahead such venomous agendas and the law keepers find themselves in a tight situation.

Now the menace has assumed a new pace in Maharashtra where this is being done through banners. Like Sakal Hindu Samaj, bit unheard of in the past, is on a kind of tour in the state organizing meetings and so on and spewing venoms in the name of nationalism.

And let’s take look at the nomenclature adopted those release an air of fear among others.

FIRs lodged against such people gather dust in the police stations leaving a section hopelessly on the defensive.

Even some television channels are not spared by a few who choose the medium for hate speeches under different sloganeering.

Singh’s case was as regards to a speech delivered by Singh on 19 February to celebrate the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

In his speech, he said that “if not for Shivaji, all Hindus would have been circumcised.” He also urged Hindus to not be afraid of police action and teach a lesson to all “descendants of Afzal”
