RJD dissociates itself from potassium cyanide remark of Minister about “Ramcharita Manas”
Patna, Sep 15 : RJD on Friday dissociated itself from the potassium cyanide remark about Ramcharita Manas made by state Education Minister Chandrashekhar.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and senior RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav told media persons here that no one could approve of such a remark made about the revered epic. His party had always respected all religions and faiths in the country and there was no reason for Chandrashekhar to make such a nasty remark about Ramcharita Manas, he noted.
“Chandrashekhar is Education Minister of Bihar and large number of recruitments were being made in his department which is highest in the country”, the Deputy Chief Minister said adding that Chandrashekhar should avoid triggering a negative debate. Instead, debate should be initiated about good works being done in Bihar, he added.
As it is, Chandrashekhar while addressing a function organised to mark Hindi day on Thursday, had said there was potassium cyanide in Ramcharitra Manas. He was referring to some of tis controversial coupletsc.
