Revanth Reddy sworn-in as Telangana CM, 11 Ministers also take oath

Hyderabad, Dec 7 : Anumala Revanth Reddy was sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Telangana at the Lal Bhadur Stadium here on Thursday.
As many as 11 Ministers took oath as Ministers, including Bhatti Vikramarka as Deputy Chief Minister.
Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office to them.
The new Ministers included two women.
The other 10 Ministers who were sworn-in are Damodara Raja Narasimha, Nalamada Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, Ponnam Prabhakar, D Sridhar Babu, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Konda Surekha, Jupally Krishna Rao, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.
Top Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, AICC State in-charge Manikrao thakre, and Ministers from the neighbouring state attended the ceremony.
The Chief Minister after the swearing-in ceremony signed two files one to implement the six guarantees as promised by the Congress in its election manifesto and another file pertains to giving government job for T Rajini, a person with disabilities.
Reddy assured a job to Rajini during campaigning for the state assembly poll.
In the keenly fought election, The Congress wrested power from the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) and won 64 out of the total 119 seat
The Chief Minister, addressing the large gathering at the LB stadium, announced that a ”Praja Darbar” will be held at Jyoti Rao Phule Praja Bhavan, the renamed building formerly known as Pragathi Bhavan.
He said the iron barricades in the periphery of Pragathi Bhavan were removed and said that everyone is welcome to walk into the building to share their ideas and aspirations.
Reddy said the democracy has been undermined, human rights have been disregarded and added that with the backing of Sonia Gandhi, and guidance from Rahul Gandhi, Telangana will be steered towards progress.
The Chief Minister said the goverment will work for the welfare of martyr’s families fought for Telangana statehood and assured to stand by the poor and helpless.
