New Delhi, July 6 : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met Nationalist Congress Party national president Sharad Pawar here on Thursday, amid the ongoing crisis in the NCP following Ajit Pawar’s support to the Eknath Shinde-led government in Maharashtra.
Rahul, who had earlier extended his support to the former Maharashtra CM following split in the NCP following Ajit’s move, met him at his residence here.
Ajit and several others were sworn-in as Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Ministers respectively following their support to the government-led by CM Eknath Shinde on Sunday.
The Congress had slammed the Shinde-led government and said, “Clearly BJP’s ‘washing machine’ has resumed its operations. A number of new entrants into the BJP-led alliance in Maharashtra today had been facing serious corruption charges with ED, CBI and IT authorities after them. Now they have all got a clean chit”.
