Puri,Sep 19 : In a novel way of protest the agitating primary teachers installed lord Ganesh idol on the road in front of Block Education Office here and performed the puja on Tuesday.
The Ganesh puja is being celebrated and observed in Puri in various schools and educational institutions and in market places across this town.
However, a typical Ganesh puja was organised by agitating teachers. They installed an idol of Ganesh on the road in front of the block education officer office, performed puja and made bhog offerings.
The teachers have been sitting on dharana since the last twelve days demanding fulfillment of their three point charter of demands.
The local people and the passersby enjoyed the puja organised by the striking teachers.
