Bhubaneswar, Nov 14 : Odisha Cabinet, which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on Tuesday approved a proposal for the construction of Berhampur ring road in Ganjam district through EPC mode of contract.
Briefing newspersons after the Cabinet meeting, Chief Secretary P K Jena said the project is expected to boost development in Berhampur, Chhatrapur, and Gopalpur town and to ease out traffic in Berhampur town.
The Cabinet approved the lowest EPC tender of Ashribad Engineering & Construction Private Limited in JV with M/S R K Infra Pvt Ltd amounting to Rs 156.51 crore for the construction of the project.
The work is targeted to be completed within a period of 24 months.
