Kolkata, Sep 17 : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday expressed her profound grief at the passing away of renowned author Gita Mehta.
” Feel sad at the news of the passing away of the author Gita Mehta. Daughter of a titan, Biju Patnaik, and sister of the current Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, she was a distinguished writer, film-maker, and a multi-dimensional cultural personality, ” Banerjee said.
” Her death diminishes us, ” she said adding, ” I conveye my condolences to @Naveen_Odisha ji and her entire family, friends, and readers. May her soul rest in peace. “
