Low pressure area forms over Southeast BoB; to intensify into ‘depression’ on Nov 15 : Met
Amaravati, Nov 14 : Under the influence of the upper air cyclonic circulation over Andaman-Nicobar Islands and adjoining areas of Andaman Sea & Southeast Bay of Bengal, a Low Pressure Area has formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining Andaman-Nicobar Islands at 0530 hours on Tuesday.
Meteorological Centre in a daily weather report here said the Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining Andaman-Nicobar Islands with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto upper tropospheric levels persists.
It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a ”Depression” over Westcentral Bay of Bengal on Wednesday.
Thereafter, it would move northwestwards and may intensify into a ”Deep Depression” over Westcentral Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh Coast on November 16.
Subsequently, it would recurve northnortheastwards and reach Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast on November 17, the report added.
