Life expectancy getting rapidly cut by 12 years in India, Know more & be alert

Pandemic or no pandemic, use of mask and now it grows to be a compelling need in the days we live in. Why so?

Studies have revealed that, air pollution has become one of the major cause of untimely death. Being at the roots of many problems, pollution claims a sizable lives in India thus slowly reducing the live expectancy.

Do not lose your sleep and just wake up when need be and cut the pollutant in take as advised. What is the threat?
According to Study as reported by the Chicago University’s Energy and Policy Institute, while the entire country, India, may suffer from drastic cut in life expectancy by an average eleven plus years and the national capital Delhi may face the worst onslaught of 12 years.

It is not that the other major cities and cosmopolites are spared but the menace has inflicted others while DELHI has emerged the most polluted city in the world, more so the National Capital Region.

What about other cities:

In the following cities, life expectancy is likely to be cut short by:
Gurugram – 11.2 years
• Faridabad – 10.8 years
• Lucknow – 9.7 years
• Kanpur – 9.7 years
• Patna – 8.7 years
• Prayagraj – 8.8 years

It matters really

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the annual average PM2.5 concentration should not be higher than 5 micrograms per cubic metre.

In Delhi, it is 126.5 micrograms per cubic meters – which is 25 times the WHO limit.
This makes it all the more important to discuss and combat issues around pollution.
