The twist in the Maharashtra politics has emerged as one of the brightest examples how politics canĀ morph itself from a social subject to a classic doom.
How a political leader can allow himself to be morphed frantically hawkish for to save his own skin from the damages from the opponents and pursue his or her political longevity.
In the case of Ajit Pawar, now deputy CM of Maharashtra, is a classic case how politicians speak one language today and forget what they spoke the day before.
His proximity with his mentor and uncle vanished in the haze of fear from the BJP as he is and his wife were by then entangled in a money laundering issue hanging over the couple like a Damoclesā sword and for the opponent in question it would not have been long to show him the jail door.
Which reminds a line of George Orwell, author and journalist āPolitical language has to consist largely of euphemism, question begging and sheer cloudy vaguenessā.
What you say today may not be relevant tomorrow that Pawar has aptly demonstrated but could not get rid off the cyclic hypocrisy and lies that is politics in general are made of.
A week back before he pushy-footed into the Saffron zone in Maharashtra he had rubbished all that were reported in the media as politically motivated.
What is amazing that the man who was busy nitipicking on the BJP suddenly found the virtue in the PM Modiās āunmatchedā ability to lead the nation and hence is beyond any match in India.
Although the news about his jump to the BJP was a classic doomsday for the uncle Sharad Pawar, but the latter rose up the day next and gathered himself to protect the NCP with rest of his colleagues.
That was the time when pain enters into a ānetaā(leader) when his protĆ©gĆ© lip-synchs with the enemy versions.
Has Ajit shot on his own feet?
He although has made the bargain well but now for him(Ajit) the situation is like a cross-current confluence where Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnaves and Pawar have to remain afloat.
For Ajit Pawar, as if he has to make his self goal in his own turf. And with the strength of his 25 legislators it would not be that easy but in politics everything now seems possible.
Can Ajit Pawar be the black-sheep or a dark horse in the days to come is something many political analysts wonder.
