Bengaluru, Sep 22 : JDS is now part of the National Democratic Alliance, according to BJP National President JP Nadda.
The announcement was made in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy. Nadda said this will further strengthen NDA and the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a new and strong India.

Speculations were afloat since the results of the state assembly where JDS won 19 seats, which has become a survival issue for the party. They lost considerable seats in Old Mysuru Region, the party’s bastion. The Congress had wn 135 seats and BJP 66 in the last election.
Senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa had revealed about the pre-poll alliance between BJP and JDS to fight 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The JDS had allied with the Congress during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections when both the parties were running a coalition government in Karnataka led by Kumaraswamy.
