‘I will be back in a day or two, I am ok’, were the words of one Indian among the lot, which he could not.

Among the 68 dead bodies recovered five were from India and four of them were from UP’s Gazipur district. It was almost the same story with all that they were on a outing of sort for a togetherness which was so abruptly cut down by death.

Abhishek Kushwaha, Bishal Sharma, Anil Kumar Rajbhar, Sonu Jaiswal, and Sanjaya Jaiswal were on the aircraft carrying 68 passengers and four crew members, which crashed close to Pokhara International Airport and were confirmed dead. Their bodies are yet to be recovered.

One of those from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh had a very brief talk with his family which has become so contrastingly otherwise “I am okay and shall be back in two three days”. That were the last words the family could hear of Abhishek of Ghazipur. After which the cell phone went silent forever. His parents have lost a child on whom many things rested on.

The stories of the rest are not very different and their families have been rendered really bereaved and looking up at the Almighty as may be in many of the cases who were lost to the deadliest air crash in Nepal after 1992.

How heart wrenching that was that among the dead, there were 3 infants and 3 children who, perhaps, had not waken up to the world fully. They must not have realised even how death was starring at them.

Not a single one could be rescued alive, so far. Although the black box of the crashed air craft has been found, that leaves it to the official part and academic as well.
