Bride Chases Runaway Groom for 20 km, Drags Him Back to the Wedding Venue to Get Married

In an incident straight out of a Bollywood-flick, a bride in Bareilly, the surprising and funny incident has made people crazy and people are trying to know about the incident. This Queen refused to give up. In Queen, the movie, Rani, played by Kangana Ranaut, goes on her honeymoon alone after her to-be husband backs out of the marriage. But this Queen of Bareilly refused to go on her honeymoon alone. Faced with a similar situation, she chased down her ‘runaway groom’ and dragged him for their marital vows.

According to local sources, Rani, a resident of Baradari, had a relationship with the young man, a resident of Badayun district, for more than two and a half years. After many discussions between the two families, their wedding date was recently fixed. They were supposed to get married at Bhuteswarnath temple in Bareilly last Sunday.

However, on the fateful day, the groom, seemingly vanished into thin air, left the anxious bride stranded at the venue, adrift on an ocean of uncertainty.

Concerned, she reached out to her betrothed, only to be greeted with a dubious excuse as he claimed to be journeying to Budaun to fetch his dear mother.

As soon as he heard this, the queen became suspicious! She thinks that the future husband is planning to run away before marriage. Without wasting a moment, the queen and her family members chased the groom in a car.

He caught the would-be husband near Bhimora police station about 20 km away. Rani’s future husband was caught red-handed while escaping in a bus. After this, the queen went to a local temple with the bridegroom. The couple got married at the Bhimora temple in the presence of both the families.

After dramatic exchanges that lasted two hours, the bride, her family as well as the man’s family took him to a temple.

The groom’s family consented to the marriage and the two were wed at a temple outside Bareilly city. Videos of the ceremony show the groom in plain clothes go through the motions of the marriage ceremony as their families watched on.
