Nagpur, June 28: Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) spokesperson Pravin Kunte on Tuesday took a dig at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said
its love for OBC community is like “Putna Mavashi”
Addressing press conference here, Kunte said if anyone is exploiting the OBC community for its political gain by pushing them into religious riots in the country, it is none other than BJP.
He said if the BJP had so much love and affection for the OBC community , it (BJP) would not have committed the sin of dropping a senior OBC leader like Eknath Khadse.
He also said that keeping in mind its possible defeat in the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has started importing OBC faces.
But the effort will not be of much use as OBC voters are aware of BJP’s ill intentions, Kunte said.
The NCP leader dubbed Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) as BJP’s ‘B’ team and reminded that earlier also BJP tried to divide votes by bringing MIM from Hyderabad.
“BRS will not succeed in Maharashtra as people of the state know it (BRS) is BJP’s “B” team, Kunte said.
He further said the BJP and the Shinde group have taken the blow of the survey report that Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) will get an undisputed majority in the state and this is a political ploy to bring BRS from Hyderabad to the Maharashtra to divide the votes.
However, there is no doubt that the farmers and toiling community of Maharashtra will thwart their strategy, he added.
