BJP divided on impact of Dhirendra Shastri’s ‘Hundu Rashtra’ claim: Survey

New Delhi, June 27 : The ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll has revealed that 41.8 per cent of the respondents feel that Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham talking about ‘Hindu Rashtra’ will not become an election issue in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, while 35.5 per cent respondents feel otherwise.

The respondents were asked, “Do you think that the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham talks about will become an election issue in Madhya Pradesh?”
In response, 47.3 per cent BJP supporters, 23.3 per cent Congress supporters, and 34 per cent ‘others’ stated that it would indeed be an issue in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
Overall, the survey revealed that a majority of 41.8 per cent of voters said that it won’t, while 35.5 per cent felt that it would.
Among BJP supporters, 30.4 per cent said that ‘Hindu Rashtra’ will not be a poll issue, while 53 per cent Congress supporters and 44.1 per cent ‘others’ too felt the same.
