Star-studded premiere of “Ektu Shore Boshun” lights up Priya Cinema

Kolkata, Nov 28 : Renowned Director Kamaleshwar Mukherjee’s latest release Ektu Shore Boshun, witnessed a star-studded premiere on Tuesday at Priya Cinema here.
The gala event saw the presence of the ensemble cast, with lead actors Paoli Dam, Payel Sarkar, Rajatava Dutta, Lokenath Dey, and Biswanath Basu amongst others gracing the red carpet.
“The narrative of Ektu Shore Boshun is borrowed from one of the most popular literary works of the revered Bengal writer Late Shri Balai Chand Mukhopadhyay alias Bonophul. The movie sheds light on the burning issue of unemployment, which millions of youth of this country is facing, and how they have to compromise with their dreams for the sake of their family and under the pressure of the society. Fitting into the genre of an impressive social comedy, Ektu Shore Boshun will attract audience across age groups”, said Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Director of Ektu Shore Boshun.
Ektu Shore Boshun takes us on a whimsical journey through the life of Guddu played by none other than very talented Ritwick Chakraborty, a Sanskrit graduate trapped in the quaint Bengal town of Begunbagicha, where time seems to stand still. Jobless and aimless, Guddu’s only solace is his childhood love, Piu, portrayed by Isha Saha in a town teeming with eccentric characters.
The plot thickens when, with the help of his friend Aalpin, a penny stock player with his own agenda, Guddu decides to steal the only family heirloom and escape to Kolkata. His destination: the house of his far-removed cousin Fotke Da, a success story with a cushy MNC job. Guddu’s goal is simple – to beg Fotke Da for a job opportunity.
Despite the comical shenanigans, Guddu’s pursuit of a job hits roadblocks. It is only when Fotke Da, under constant persuasion from his wife Urmi, agrees to take Guddu to his MNC that the story hurtles towards a stunning conclusion.
Star cast includes renowned actors like Paran Bandopadhyay, Ritwick Chakraborty, Rajatabha Dutta, Paoli Dam, Payel Sarkar, Kharaj Mukherjee, Manasi Sinha, Biswanath Basu, Partha Sarathi Chakraborty, and Loknath Dey among others. Kamaleswar Mukherjee has also the creative written the screenplay and dialogues.
The music of the film is composed by Debojyoti Mishra, Anindya Chattopadhyay & Ranajoy Bhattacharya. Saurav Banerjee is the DOP. Arghyakamal Mitra has edited the film.
