Shubham Malav, hailing from the historic city of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, brings a unique perspective shaped by his contemplation in the hills. His upbringing in a region known for historic forts and palaces has influenced his perception, revealing underlying themes of strife, violence, and the thirst for control over land and people.
Traversing diverse landscapes of India, Shubham empathetically connects with individuals who have experienced hardship and darkness. His canvases express complex emotions of pain, anger, anguish, and bitterness prevalent in society. His distinctive drawing style, characterized by colorful and exaggerated features, creates a detailed fantasy world mirroring the disturbing realities of our society.
About the Artist:
Shubham Malav, a graduate of the Institute of Fine Arts, Meerut, currently works from Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, and Noida, Uttar Pradesh. His artistic journey includes participation in various group shows, showcasing life-size paintings with mixed media and installations.
