Bhubaneswar, Dec 26 : A total of 400 stalls will be erected by Women Self Help Groups (WSHGs), Producers Groups (PGs) and Producers Enterprises (PEs) having various handicrafts, handloom and food spices products from 26 states in the SISIR SARAS-2024.

Odisha Rural Development & Marketing Society (ORMAS) Director -cum -Chief Executive Officer Poonam T. Guha said the national level fair will be held from January 6 to 15 at the Biju Patnaik PlayGround, Baramuda.

Guha was speaking at the preparatory meeting held here on Tuesday for organising the mela.

A special food court with 20 stalls and theme stall depicting the ORMAS activities like Marketing, Livelihoods and Skill Development will be the centre of attraction for the revellers in this year’s mela.

. Renowned artists will perform in the Cultural night every evening at the fair.

Guha said battery-powered rides for senior citizens and differently able persons, special kids zones for the entertainment of children are being arranged.

Various private and state-owned banks would install ATM machines, coin vending machines in the fair premises.
Efforts will be made to make the fair polythene-free as far as possible.

In 2023, SISIR SARAS-Mela, a total business of Rs 23 crore was generated.
