Bhubaneswar, Sep 8: Odisha Vigilance officials on Friday arrested an Assistant Sub Inspector of Excise Balugaon circle in Khordha district in a disproportionate Assets(DA) case.
Vigilance sources said Sudipta Kumar Dash, the ASI was arrested after property worth 173 percent of his known sources income including two buildings,plots ,cash of Rs 1.35 lakh ,300 grams of gold jewellery and deposits over Rs 21 lakh were unearthed from the possession of Dash during house search.
In addition to it one four wheeler, 3 two wheelers and household articles worth over Rs.20.39 lakhs was also detected.
He was forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar for possession of disproportionate assets (DA) to the tune of 173 percent of his known sources of income, which he could not account for satisfactorily.
