The society is getting immune and the perpetrators enjoy a freedom from the languor of law.
Sahil Ghelot killed his girl friend and live-in partner and with the equal nerve as Poonawal, made the body to pieces and kept them in a fridge. Which shows their reckless disregard for the law let alone humanity.
Seen dressed in a sherwani and Pyjama , Gehlot posed for photos with his spouse on a decked-up stage at their wedding venue . Three days later, he was arrested by the Delhi police’s Crime Branch for allegedly strangulating 23-year-old Nikki Yadav — his girlfriend and live-in partner — and then hiding her body inside a fridge at a dhaba in Mitraon village on the outskirts of Delhi. That was the reach, from home to an outskirt Dhaba which can draw inferences to the involvement of others.
The intervening night between Feb 9 & 10 were full with suspense, when racing against the will of his family, Ghelot, who wasto marry, finished Nikki Yadav.
The case is somewhat similar with that of Shradha Walkar and Poonawala, as the 24 year old Ghelot gave no inkling to the victim he lived with for quite a time.
It can be pre-supposed that, it is time the young ladies who wed to the concept of live-in partnership must introspect for a while. There is no dearth of lessons to learn and one after the incidents of such murderous instincts play the eye-opener.
The provocation
According to the police probing the case, Nikki and Sahil met on 9 February and were together for many hours. Since his phone kept ringing with people asking him to return home since it was his wedding in a few hours, an argument ensued between Nikki and Sahil. He wanted to go home and get married, and she wanted him to call off the wedding…”
Then ensued the brutal act of murder and Sahil killed her then and there. She had no knowledge about Sahil’s relationship with any other but his plan to shun her was too much for her to bear with.
Parents beaware
Parents everywhere now cannot have the emotional luxury of love and faith on their grown up daughters but they need to be more vigil in the harshly changing living pattern.
According to the police Nikky’s family was never aware of her relationship with Sahil, regardless of the fact that, she was living in with someone.
What worries that, both the families were not aware of such a relationship as serious as live-in.
Even the judiciary has now a task in hand and should take a call on the granted live-in relationship and the examples of such outcomes are almost clear.
