Now the case in point is that the ghastly murder of Shradhha Walkar in which the main accused Aftab Amin Poonawala has almost confessed point by point as how things developed and culminated in a barbaric epilogue.
Itis up to the court now to punish him and that too exemplerily.
Right from his out of the area relationship with another girl became a aching nerve for Walkar which led to the discord between both the living-in partners. Anger, abuses, hate and mental despondency got a deep root, Aftab has admitted to and then the most fierce some murder.
The discord grew to be intolerable between the partners and then abuses and counter abuses remained the only conduit in between them.
Aftab was at an ebbing edge of criminal mind-set to settle things once for all. Emotions in such circumstances remain completely subdued and perhaps dormant” said Dr A K Ray, Bhubaneswar based Psychoanalyst.
“Aftab and many like him have such subdued criminal instincts which makes them predisposed mentally” added Dr Ray
Then the assault that finished Walkar, Aftab confessed. He planned to destroy the evidences and for which he made several pieces of her body, reportedly 35 pieces and such an act requires guts and no normal human being can afford that bestial instinct.
Aftab also admitted in the charge sheet that, he did that and strewn the body parts as reported.
After all that, still the law of the land waits and the courts remain buried under the technicalities over the evidences! What else evidence the judiciary is waiting for?
Defense counsels never stop at that. List of the wait-listed witnesses are made to keep the deadly killer stay composed in the jail and for what? Instead pronouncing his journey into the gallows the courts remain helplessly condescend to the rule-books.
Everything is said and the picture is crystal clear without any ambiguity.
Every day or after days the small parts of the stories are aired through the media in piece-meals to help the culprit making unnecessary statements till recently.
Is that not an irony despite of all that have come out, our law is still in a state of languor
