Lucknow, Jan 20 : Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Thursday said that the people of the state were ready to give a befitting reply to Akhilesh Yadav patronising mafia elements and his false promises.
Slamming the Samajwadi Party chief, he predicted that the SP will find it hard, this time to even cross 27 seats in the assembly elections.
Maurya said that instead of forming a gang of mafia and criminals at the time of elections, Akhilesh would have known what actually is the ground reality and that people are very happy with the development and the inclusive politics of the BJP government.
Had he ventured out of the comfort of his home he would have been aware of the schemes running in the interest of the backward and poor along with employment, business, health, development of farmers, the deputy CM said while taking a dig at the SP chief. For five years, however, he added, Yadav was busy preparing a list of criminals and corrupt.
Maurya said that Akhilesh Yadav, who planted the seeds of corruption, hooliganism and appeasement while in power, has again bared his ill-intentions by fielding those who oppose ‘Maa Bharti’ in the elections.
Challenging Akhilesh Yadav, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the people of UP had given him 47 seats last time, but this time SP will find it difficult to cross even the figure of 27.
The Deputy Chief Minister went on to say that the Akhilesh Yadav-led party has a long list of candidates with criminal backgrounds. He said that the kind of professional criminals and mafia to whom SP has given tickets in its list is being watched closely by the people of the state.
Whereas BJP has given priority to development, good governance and nationalism as agenda for the elections, Maurya underlined and at the same time, dynasty and family politics have always been promoted in the SP, which has consigned socialism to the bin. More than public welfare, SP leadership only and only thinks for the well being of their family, the deputy CM mused.
