The Congress Party has surprisingly dropped Punjab State UnitChief, Navjyot Singh Sidhu from the list of the star campaigners for the forthcoming elections in Uttarakhand while the incumben chief minister remains as the star campaigner.
This assumes significance in view of the fact that, Uttarakhand has a population of Sikhs which plays a decisive role in tilting the balance in someone’s favour. It may be recalled that, the BJP had won all but one of it in 2017 assembly elections.
Farmers issue can play a vital role in the coming polls which breathes hope into the Congress to recapture its hold this time as the issue is far from over yet.
Minus Sidhu is a shock for the former cricketer. While the list has names like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and former PM, Manmohan Singh.
