Shafali Reclaims Top Spot In T20 Rankings
Dubai, Jan 25: India’s opener Shafali Verma returned to the top of the ICC T20 rankings on Tuesday. In the latest weekly update of the ICC T20 rankings, Verma reclaimed the number one position with 726 points, overtaking Australia’s Beth Mooney at 724 points.
The 18-year-old Indian attained the top position for the first time during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020. Australia captain Meg Lanning sits at third position with 719 points followed by India’s Smriti Mandhana on fourth with 709 points. In the bowling department, India’s off-spinner Dipti Sharma attained fourth place with 685 points. English spinner Sophie Acclestone sits on the top with 761 points followed by Sarah Glenn (722) at second position and South Africa’s Shabnim Ismail at third place with 718 points. New Zealand Sophie Devine is the number one all rounder, Englands Natalie Sciver is second and Indian all-rounder Dipti Sharma is at third place.
