Messi Tests Negative For Covid-19

Paris, Jan 6: Argentine soccer star Lionel Messi has tested negative for Covid-19, the French club Paris Saint-Germain said on Thursday.

“Leo Messi has tested negative for Covid-19. He has arrived in Paris and will rejoin the squad in the next few days,” the club said in a statement.

Paris Saint-Germain player Layvin Kurzawa, however, tested positive on Thursday for Covid-19. He has been placed in isolation.

Messi is among the four players who tested positive for the virus on January 2 and underwent isolation.

The other three who contracted the virus were Juan Bernat, Sergio Rico and Nathan Bitumazala.
