Mobilenews24x7 Bureau

Mumbai, Jan 22 : Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday confirmed that the home series against West Indies will be hosted across two venues instead of six as originally announced.

While the three One-Day Internationals will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, the three-match T20I series will take place at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

In a statement, the BCCI said that the decision has been taken to “mitigate biosecurity risks by cutting down on travel and movement of the teams, match officials, broadcasters, and other stakeholders”.

The three ODIs will take place on February 6, 9 and 11, followed by three T20Is on February 16, 18 and 20.
