Solidarity In Display With Ukraine At Major Summits, EU Unites

Brussels, March 25  : Several major summits were held which saw leaders from around the world displaying solidarity with Ukraine, BBC reported on Friday. The NATO defensive alliance, the EU and the G7 group of the world’s richest nations held emergency summits in Brussels regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine. In all these summits unity and solidarity with Ukraine were the dominant themes, with leaders pledging military and humanitarian assistance to the besieged nation. Meanwhile, the NATO defensive alliance, approved major increases of forces in Eastern Europe, with four new battlegroups being sent to Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, announced at Brussels that the UK would send 6,000 missiles to Ukraine, along side pledging £25m ($32m) in aid to help Ukraine pay its soldiers’ salaries. At the same time world leaders warned that if Russia used chemical or nuclear weapons they would be forced to respond, without specifying what that response would be like.
