RUSSIA-UKRAINE CRISIS

Russia Redeploys For Invasion Again: UK

London, April 1 : The UK Defence Ministry on Friday said Russia is redeploying its forces from Georgia to re-start invasion of Ukraine despite three days back Moscow claiming to “significantly decrease military activity”. “Russia is redeploying elements of its forces from Georgia to reinforce its invasion of Ukraine,” the ministry said in a series of tweets. “Between 1,200 and 2,000 of these Russian troops are being reorganised into 3XBattalion Tactical Groups,” it said. “It is highly unlikely that Russia planned to generate reinforcements in this manner and it is indicative of the unexpected losses it has sustained during the invasion,” the ministry said., On Thursday, the UK said the Russian forces have continued shelling and missile strikes in Ukraine’s Chernihiv. “Despite Russian statements indicating an intended reduction of military activity around Chernihiv, significant Russian shelling and missile strikes have continued,” the ministry tweeted. On Tuesday, Russian Deputy Defence Minister Alexander Fomin said that the ministry has decided to significantly decrease military activity in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine. The ongoing conflict between the two nations began at dawn when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
